Philippe Collinet has the most beautiful Gumball 3000 spot!

It was a very close battle between the gentlemen Collinet and van Rooij. Both photographers were nominated for the best Gumball 3000 spot. Two weeks ago the voting started on four hundred spots but the battle began very quick between the two spots from these two photographers. Phillipe Collinet however had more chance to win, because two of his spots were in the top three. Thomas van Rooij also had chance to win, but could keep up very good with Philippe Collinet. Gumball 3000 2012: daily report nine, Kansas City to Santa Fe!

Yesterday, the longest day of the Gumball 3000 was waiting for us. Not just seven or eight hours in the car, we had to drive thirteen long hours with outside temperatures near 40 degrees Celsius. Luckily someone discovered air-conditioning a long time ago so it wasn’t that hot inside the car. Team Galag unfortunately did have some problems with the air-conditioning of their Lamborghini Aventador so they flew directly to Las Vegas. Besides that also a lot of nice things happened yesterday! Gumball 3000 2012: daily report eight, Indianapolis to Kansas City!

What a day! More than 700 kilometers and a lot of sensation. In the morning, the cars were still parked at the raceway of Indianapolis. After we picked them up we kept our fingers crossed and started the live stream. The live stream went well and that was a relief! Gumball 3000 2012: daily report six, Toronto to Indianapolis!

We already are six days in America but yesterday was the second day of the Gumball 3000 rally. We departed from New York to Toronto where we worked almost the whole night on the daily report. Gumball 3000 2012: dayreport five, the start!

Gumball D-day! The start of the rally took place yesterday and it was a blast! At 10 am everyone was expected for the drivers briefing. Unfortunately, the men behind the whole Gumball was fashionably late. After forty minutes of waiting Maximillian Cooper showed up for the briefing. After that he gave the start shot for the rally with his Co-driver E.V.E. The crowd was ready to wave us goodbye. And boy they did! Read more

Finally! Today we finally could pick up the car again and this is why we had to get up early. Time to drive to Manhattan Motors in our Cadillac Escalade to pick up the Ferrari 599 GTO. We had to hurry because the cars also had to be stickered today. Read more

Almost three days in New York already. Yesterday evening we had a little pre meet of Gumball 3000 participants. Last days were relatively quiet regarding to supercars and only some Gumballers already made it to New York City. Gumball 2012: Daily report 2

The second day in New York is all about getting used to the time difference. Some members of our team were out of bed at 5 am already, just because their biological clock isn’t used to the time difference in New York. So we all stood up early, went into the city and talked through the latest plans. It will all start Thursday morning. Stickering the car and registering the participants.
