Villa d'Este 2012: Pininfarina Cambiano Concept

Eco-friendly and suitable for the family. A concept of a car can’t sound much more boring. Pininfarina however proves that this is not the case with the Cambiono Concept. Just the name sounds great already! It is about a three-door concept and there are no plans to take it into production. Maybe Aston Martin might think: “hey, this might be something for us.”

Pininfarina always knows how to draw beautiful concept cars and this is one of the many he made. The car shows what the possibilities in the field of design and technique are. The Cambiono is an expression of a car as a complete project. That is why there is full consistency between each detail of the interior and the exterior, just like the colours, materials and even the use of technology. In the press announcement Pininfarina goes even further. Elegance and harmony are being combined with other values such as the balance and contrast. These are related to the values full and empty. A mouth full as we speak.

The car has two doors at the sidewalk-side and only one on the street-side. This is ergonomically and in this way on one side the sleek design remains visible. The remaining of the exterior is simplistic but very beautiful. Inside it is not so much different, it is all ultramodern. The traction comes from an electro engine. Four engines are enough for 600kw and 640 Nm of torque. The range with another gas turbine is 497 miles.
