Unique spot: Audi R8 GT Spyder

On the 3rd of June 2011, we received a press report about the Audi R8 GT Spyder. Since that time, we didn't hear many more about this German convertible, limited to 333 copies. Even the spotters don't see or spot it, only eight different copies are spotted. This makes it far more exclusive than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. However, Bavariaspotter managed to spot a new copy in München.

This open trackday car from Audi is fitted with the Ultra Lightweight Technology, stemming from Audi's Le Mans racers. This means nothing less than using carbon fiber rather than other materials. It doesn't only save weight, but it also makes the Audi faster. Also the engine is slightly tuned, to 560 bhp and with that, the R8 does zero to 62 in just 3.8 seconds. The R8 GT Spyder can be recognized by a big back spoiler and many other carbon fiber details.
