If a "regular" Pagani doesn't seem exclusive enough, then the wiser choice is undoubtedly the Codalunga. However, acquiring such a treasure could prove to be a true challenge, considering that the aforementioned five units are long sold out.

In 2018, two passionate Pagani collectors approached Horacio with a special request: to create a long-tail version of the Pagani Huayra Coupé. The vision behind this was to craft an elegant hypercar with a clear, streamlined aesthetic – a masterpiece that could dominate both the streets and the racetracks of the world. The customers, actively involved in the development process, established direct contact with the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni department, formerly known as the Special Projects division, specialized in custom-made and limited-series vehicles.

In harmony with Pagani's philosophy, the design of the Huayra Codalunga was meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, following the creative principles of the universal genius Leonardo da Vinci - an inexhaustible source of inspiration where art and science can meld in perfect harmony.
Two years passed until the design concept was finalized in close collaboration with the clients. Two models were created – one at a 1:4 scale and the other at full size. These served to gather customer feedback and make final adjustments before commencing production of all necessary components. Inspired by the bodywork craftsmanship of the 1960s, which drew inspiration from aircraft constructions, the result was achieved through meticulous handiwork in the form of aluminum body parts. Today, Pagani's expertise in advanced composite materials is utilized to create a body that pays homage to this historical inspiration.
The massive rear engine cover, with a surface area of over 3.7 m2 and 360 mm longer than that of the Huayra Coupé, conceals a technical marvel: the Pagani V12 engine, capable of producing up to 840 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque in this series.
The absence of rear grilles creates space for an unobstructed view of the Codalunga's titanium exhaust system, weighing a mere 4.4 kg. The special ceramic coating rounds off the homage to Le Mans racing cars, and the symphony emanating from the distinctive four tailpipes is an anthem to the passion for automobiles.
