Wow, that’s the first thing which comes up in my mind when I saw this spot. Italian elegance captured on a beautiful way, who doesn’t love that? The Ferrari 225 Inter Vignale is a model not everyone will know, but after seeing this pictures you will remember it for quite some time. Time to dig deeper into the history of this engineering piece of art.
Once we dug into the history of this car, we were completely staggered. This spot is completely unique. The Ferrari 225 Inter Vignale is a one-off model, based on the Ferrari 212. It was designed by Vignale, now you also know the addition of the name. It was built back in 1952 so that makes it 61 years old, you won’t think that it is that old in first instance. The classical round and coupe-ish lines are the work of Vignale, a studio not many people will know.
In the interior, things didn’t become worse either. The leather looks so fine, just like the steering wheel, like it’s untouched ever since its building, and the dashboard is also showroom fresh. Striking are the two stopwatches in the interior, meant to record the lap times on the track.
The unique thing about the 225 is that it’s the only one out of 82 Ferrari 212’s which has a 2.7 liter V12-engine instead of an 2.6 liter version. This engine produces 210 hp which delivers a great performance, especially when you compare it to the specs of an average car back in 1952. When you look at this spot, it’s like the tand of time did nothing to this car, it’s just like it just has been delivered from Maranello.
There isn’t that much information about this model, mainly because there is only one copy in the whole world. It’s an absolute honour to photograph this model, but when you do that like this you can be very, very proud at yourself. For Arjan&Wijnand, this will probably be their most exciting spot. What we have here, is a possible candidate for the Spot of the Year-elections if you ask us!
