Bugatti has two projects where Volkswagen spends their time and money. The Veyron 16.4 must be sold, and the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is still available in stock. The second project is the Galibier 16C, the concept already comes from 2009. What are they going to do with it?
At this moment, nothing. Compared to the Veyron, the Galibier is completely different. Way more luxurious and more powerful. It is important for Bugatti to listen to the wishes of the customers and develop the concept car to a new Royale. The expectations of the customers are high and this project costs loads of time. Wolfgang Schreiber, president of Bugatti, won't tell British AutoCar why the project is taking so much time. We think that this is mostly about the interior. Bugatti really has to try hard to be a proper competitor for Maybach or Rolls-Royce. Then there is also competition within the Volkswagen AG, the Bentley Mulsanne. It is sure that it will come, but all the details are still unknown.
