Last year, Rolls-Royce sold more cars in a year for the first time since 1978. The successful Silver Shadow II was exceeded by the sales of the Phantom and the Ghost. Rolls-Royce wants even more and they are working very hard on a stable future. CEO Torsten Mürller-Ötvös gave the English AUtoCar more information about their future.
The Phantom generation is complete at this moment. The model is refreshed recently and ready for the next couple of years. The Ghost is only available as Ghost and Ghost EWB. Rolls-Royce wants to make the Ghost more sporty and this means that more models will come. The most important model is the Ghost Coupe which will break the boundaries. They say the car will get at least 600 bhp and that is unique for a Rolls-Royce. The Ghoust Coupe will get a shorter wheelbase and an more sporty undercarriage. It are only small details of the car which has to be sold at least 4.000 times a year. The Ghost Coupe won’t be the only new model. The fourth model of the Ghost series will probably be a convertible. But we don’t know much about this model yet.
