It isn’t a surprise anymore but we still love to announce it. The McLaren MP4-12C Spider is officially shown by the men from Woking. Last week they showed us a teaser and they now show us the entire car with all its details. Though we already knew most of it, we still have some new facts for you.
625 bhp and 600 Nm of torque. We already knew these specifications and it makes the McLaren sprint to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. Thanks to the very fast gearbox with a double clutch. The maximum speed of the car is 329 km/h. Only four kilometers slower as its closed brother. At the end of 2012 the first copies will be delivered. There were some problems with the closed version and we hope this won’t happen with the Spider. You can close the hardtop while you are driving with speeds up to 30 km/h. When it’s raining and you’re driving faster than 30 km/h, you have to put the pedal to the metal or pull over and close the hardtop to stay dry.
