It’s official! The Nissan GT-R Nismo is bloody fast and made a lap on the Nürburgring in only 7:08.679. As we already wrote yesterday, this is a very fast time and only eleven seconds slower than the more powerful and more expensive Porsche 918 Spyder! The Nissan GT-R Nismo made a big aerodynamically improvement and produces 100 kilograms extra downforce at a speed of 300 kph.
We’re wondering how Nissan managed to do this. Since the introduction of the GT-R, the Japanese keep on optimizing the GT-R. From February 2014, the car will be available in Japan. The United States and Europe need to wait a bit longer. The 3.8 liters V6 VR38DETT produces 600 hp and 652 Nm of torque thanks to bigger turbos and an improved ignition. Nismo gathered a lot of experience in races like the 24 hours of the Nürburgring. The suspension of this GT-R is inspired by the Nismo racing GT-R. Behind the wheels, we find very hard and adjustable Bilstein dampers. The GT-R Nismo will be available in five different colours, Brilliant White Pearl, Meteor Flake Pearl Black, Ultimate Metallic Silver and Vibrand Red. In the interior we see carbon fiber Recaro seats to lose some extra weight and just because it are great seats. Next to that, we see an alcantara steering wheel. We hope to take place behind this steering wheel next year to tell you something about the driving experience of this car.
