At the beginning of October, Porsche registered a new patent. It wasn’t about a new technique but only about three numbers. We don’t know what Porsche wants with these numbers because it is possible that Porsche registered these numbers for the far future!
How likely is it that Porsche is working on a new model? Highly unlikely. They have the Boxster and the Cayman for the lower regions of the sports car market while the Porsche 991 Carrera is a true all-rounder. As competitor of the new generation supercars, Porsche comes up with the Porsche 918 Spyder, next year. Maybe they registered this number for the successor of the 918? Time will tell us..
