One of the most popular sports cars on Autogespot is definitely the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Meanwhile, there are multiple versions including a coupe and an open version. Next year, an electric version will be added to this list. We already know the SLS AMG E-Cell, but next year the SLS AMG Electric Drive will conquer the market of electric cars.
Weight
The SLS AMG E-Cell is another car compared to the SLS AMG Electric Drive. The SLS AMG Electric Drive is a development of the E-Cell. The Electric Drive weighs less than the E-Cell, this has to do with the electro-engines which drive all the four wheels. The ones from the E-Cell weigh 450 kilograms together but the ones in the Electric Drive only weigh 180 kilograms. That's quite a difference.
Specifications
We don't know much about the SLS AMG Electric Drive yet. The car is still in development and Mercedes-Benz works together with the Formula 1 team to do this. In fact, the SLS AMG Electric Drive is just the electric version of the SLS AMG. The version with a fuel engine produces 571 hp but the Electric Drive produces even 740 hp. But because the Electric Drive weighs more than the fuel version, the performance is almost the same. You'll reach 100 kph in 3.9 seconds and the top speed of the car is 250 kph.
