Spotted in Charlotte (NC), United States of America

Unexpectedly found this GT S parked outside of an office building in Southpark on a miserable afternoon about a month ago. Really like the color on this, wish I could have gotten some better angles, but due to all the cars parked nearby there wasn't a whole lot I could do.

@NCspotter Hi Nick. That second posted shot just looks incredible! in fact every one of the angles turned out exceptional. The rain drops make this German girl look, even more sexier. Well done, brother!

@Horse-Power thanks West! The crane in the second shot is where a pretty big mixed-use shopping and apartment complex, which I can't wait until is complete because it will look pretty awesome as a backdrop. @thomcarspotter thanks Thom! Haven't ever seen a GT S in this shad of blue before, looked awesome in person!

@NCspotter Hi Nick. I hope the weather has improved for you in N.C. The weather should be rain free for us in Atlanta. I am still exhausted from our vacation, so I may just take the weekend off. Anyways if you are working I hope your shift(s) goes extremely fast for you. I hope to see a new post from you soon, brother. Talk with you soon.

@NCspotter Hi Nick. I wanted to chat with you about the Lamborghini Urus, now that I have driven one. I do admit that the looks are unique, especially in a world that this type of platform is very popular. First I have to say that this car does have body roll when pushed. The transmission is harsh just like in the Aventador. Obviously the engineers wanted this so the driver knew he was driving a Lamborghini, and not an Audi. Personally I don't know if a V10 Huracan engine would matter here. Yes it would make the soul of the car more Italian but performance wise it gets the job done well. No doubt they will sell a lot of cars. I wonder which platform Ferrari will use in their up and coming SUV? Anyways brother I hope your weekend is treating you well? Talk with you soon.

@Horse-Power sorry for the late response. I still contend that using a Q7 platform and VAG corporate twin-turbo V8 (yes I know Lambo tuned it, but still) doesn't make it a real Lambo. It would be like if Ferrari built an SUV on the Grand Cherokee platform and put a Hellcat engine under the hood. Yes it would have the Ferrari badges, but I would have a hard time taking it seriously. Anyway, I will get one more crack at spotting in Charlotte this year after Christmas, and I will also do some spotting around Raleigh this weekend as the forecast is finally looking pretty good. I will try to stop by the new McLaren dealership in Charlotte as well, and one of these days I'll send some pics over. I did catch an R8 last weekend, but the valets were apparently noobs, so I wasn't able to get enough pics of it to share on here. Thanks as always for your comments and I'll talk with you later!

@NCspotter I know that your very busy, brother. I always look forward to talking shop with you! I am really hoping that Ferrari utilizes the V12 engine for that SUV. The 812 / GTC4 Lusso platform would put the vehicle in that upper class for their top customers. Even if they use the Levante chassis or the smaller Alfa chassis the car would be an outstanding performance vehicle. Out of the great cars that I drove last December, the very best one was the 812 Superfast. Ferrari knocked that one out of the park. It is truly one of the best cars that I have ever driven. I will talk more about those cars that I drove later in the week. Anyways Brother enjoy the start of your New Year and I will talk with you soon.

If Ferrari pulls a Lambo and puts (for example) a Hellcat engine under the hood, I will be extremely disappointed. Not a big fan of a Ferrari SUV in the first place, and since I don't think Lambo set the bar very high I'm really concerned about how it will turn out. I guess we will see though. I am still keeping my eyes open for my first 812, haven't seen one in person yet, even at dealerships. Can't wait to hear what it was like to drive! Thanks as always for your comments and I'll talk with you later.

@NCspotter Hi Nick. The rear wheel steering makes this car very nimble, especially when comparing it to the F12. The exhaust note sounds incredible. Just as good as an Aventador or Huracan. The 812's interior is also trimmed giving the driving position a slimmer feel. I cannot find one fault! Having almost 800 BHP says it all. I wish I could drive one on a track, one day. You Know Ferrari has always been known as a company that has the very best engines. I have no doubt that any vehicle made in the future will be a true Ferrari engine. If we are going to see a SUV from them in the future, lets just hope it has a non turbo engine. Saying that though the turbo in the Lusso T is just awesome to drive, at least on a public road. In fact I liked it a hair better than a V12 Lusso, and that's saying a lot. Talk with you soon , buddy. Thanks for always chatting with me. Great job on those R8 night shots you just posted!

@Horse-Power a blacked out 812 has been spotted around Raleigh before, but it has eluded me to this point. It's amazing how Ferrari can continue to noticeably improve its cars each generation. You'd think they would have run into a wall by now, so to speak. It will be interesting to see what Ferrari does if they do indeed bring out an SUV. I feel like they would probably put the twin turbo V8 under its hood though, just because that's the way most things are going. Anyway, it's always great to talk cars with you! I'll talk with you later.
