The newest member of the McLaren family has finally been spotted in his home country. It is the successor to the 570S, but that is only true in terms of dimensions. Under the skin there is a lot of new to discover!
To start with, the famous McLaren V8 engine has been thrown overboard. In order to meet the emission requirements, McLaren must now quickly focus on electric. The P1 was the start, with the hybrid powertrain, but otherwise the entire lineup consisted only of V8 models. Until now, because here is the Artura. It must be an important model for McLaren, because they want to sell large numbers of this. This new model has a V6 coupled to an electric motor. This makes the McLaren slightly more environmentally friendly than its predecessor, but also more powerful! With 680hp and 720nm of torque, this entry-level car is anything but a bottom door. With a top speed of 330 km per hour, it is not inferior to the other McLarens.
The spotted copy is at The Dorchester hotel in London, Knightsbridge. This hotel is a magnet for spotters, and this spot shows why. Next to the Artura is the big brother; the McLaren GT. On the other side is a Lamborghini Urus, we also see a Mercedes-Maybach and a Bentley Bentayga.
