When there's a demand, McLaren will build it. After the launch of the 675 LT, we all knew that they would come up with a Spider version. You've probably seen the leaked photos yesterday and soon after these leaked photos McLaren showed us the real deal.
All rumors about the car seem to be true. The carbon fiber monocoque is already designed that it's perfect for a Spider. They reduced the weight with 100 kilograms and the V8 produces 675 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The total weight, thanks to the reductions, is 1.270 kilograms. The Coupé weighs an extra 40 kilograms and the price of the Spider is slightly less than 400.000 euros. We can't tell you any more news about this car except for the fact that the Spider will be limited to 500 copies.
Of course McLaren also released the specifications. The sprint from zero to 100 kph takes 2.9 seconds and the sprint to 200 kph takes 8.1 seconds! The top speed of the Spider is 326 kph. When can we give it a try?
