Maserati will present the smaller and complete new Ghibli on the Shanghai Motor Show. The small sports sedan is the first car in a series of new models of Maserati. The brand wants to grow and they need more models to do this. First of all, it’s time to take a good look at the Ghibli.
The Ghibli will be a competitor for the most sport and powerful German sedans.Think of the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A6 and especially the 550i, M5 and V8 models of Audi. The Ghibli will be available with a V6 Biturbo engine which can also be found in the Quattroporte. This V6 produces 410 hp. More powerful versions like the Ghibli S and GTS are coming later. The Italians want to sell at least twice as much Ghibli’s as the number of Quattroportes they sold, 10,000. That are a lot of cars for this company. The Ghibli looks like a compact Quattroporte with some more powerful lines on the front. The quality of the interior will be great, just like we’re used to from the Quattroporte.
