Lamborghini to reveal two-door coupé in Geneva

Lamborghini to reveal two-door coupé in Geneva

If this is all true, then AutoCar makes short work of the rumors around the special Lamborghini which will be unveiled in Geneva. AutoCar says they worked on a front-engined coupé very secretly. If Lamborghini really want to surprise the crowd, then this might be the right trick.

The problem is, all eyes are turned to McLaren and Ferrari. Lamborghini disappointed many people with the ‘special’ Gallardo LP560-4 so they have to do something extra special this time. The fifty-year anniversary of Lamborghini is a very important occasion for the company, and they will celebrate this with several models, of which the first will be revealed in Geneva. In a conversation with AutoCar Stephan Winkelann, the chairman of Lamborghini, said that the car that is to be revealed is ‘something truly extraordinary that’s based on the V12’. Everyone’s sure now that this won’t be an special Aventador LP700-4 but a completely new model with another concept, a car for two persons and the engine in the front. Lamborghinis first model ever was the 350GT which was also front-engined, so the upcoming model might be a good reference to the 350GT. Then it might be front-engined, but the DNA is the one of a proper Lamborghini. With this car the attack on the Ferrari F12berlinetta seems to really start!
