Is the DBR22 the most beautiful Aston Martin?

The DBR22 is definitely one of the most beautiful new Aston Martins to have hit the market in recent times. It's meant to pay homage to the legendary racing Aston Martins of the past, such as the DB3S, DBR1, and DBR2.

A few months ago, we could already see images of this masterpiece, and now, pictures of that day have resurfaced. They are breathtakingly beautiful images that perfectly showcase the shape and elegance of this car. The development of the DBR22 design concept is the latest in a long line of exceptional projects expertly handled by Aston Martin's in-house customization department, Q by Aston Martin. This year marks a decade of building exclusive cars for the most discerning customers worldwide. Iconic one-offs like the Aston Martin Victor and limited-series special models like the Vulcan - limited to 24 units globally, and the Vantage V600 - limited to just 14 units, are truly great examples of this collaboration. Therefore, it seems fitting that the DBR22 design concept should also serve as the foundation for a production reality example for an extremely exclusive number of Q by Aston Martin customers.

One particularly notable feature is the entirely new front grille, which, instead of the usual mesh found on production Aston Martins, features a unique carbon fiber design. This design is directly inspired by the DBR1 and DB3S, giving it a distinctive identity one that clearly draws from Aston Martin's heritage but uses that inspiration to create a truly contemporary design. The hood boasts a dramatic horseshoe-shaped vent, inset to aid airflow for the 5.2 liter V12 twin turbo engine beneath. This long, uninterrupted line of the hood directs your gaze back to the cockpit, over the low-set wind deflector and the delicate mirrors mounted on slim, wind-cheating carbon fiber arms at the top of the doors.

The design concept of the Aston Martin DBR22 also presents a completely custom paint color developed specifically for this occasion using "Paint to Sample"—an exclusive option available through Q by Aston Martin that once again demonstrates the vast design possibilities achievable through the brand's bespoke service.
