Now that the first customers have received their car it's time for McLaren to reveal the exact numbers of the McLaren P1. Fasten your seatbelt, because these numbers are seriously impressive. Only16.5 seconds are required to reach 300 kph. That's a whole five seconds faster than the McLaren F1 did! Got excited about the other numbers?
The time the P1 needs to hit 200 kph is even more impressive, the 916 bhp strong McLaren only needs 6.8 seconds to hit this speed. Just imagine the feeling this must give! 0-100 kph is done in just 2.8 seconds, and the topspeed is limited to 350 kph. McLaren specially designed the brakes of the car with Akebono, so we don't have to worry about that either. The stopping distance when braking at 300 kph is only 246 meters.
The first P1 will be delivered this week to an English customer. The car is executed in Volcano Yellow and contrasting carbon fiber parts. As we knew only 375 copies will be made, and several more will stay inside the UK. We can't wait for all spots and videos of the production version of the car!
