During the Dutch introduction of the McLaren P1, at Louwman Exclusive, we spoke with an engineer of McLaren. He told us that McLaren would soon take another try to beat their own record on the Nürburgring. Two days ago, they took the P1 to the track and they released all the power the V8 produces. The first rumors are spread and we can say that the P1 managed to improve its time!
In 6 minutes and 47 seconds, the P1 managed to make a lap on the Green Hell. Unfortunately, this is still unconfirmed and according to the rumors, we can expect a statement by McLaren soon. Ron Dennis was very happy with the new record. We can't tell you the exact time yet but when McLaren comes out with a statement we will definitely let you know. Luckily, a few spotters were present to make some nice photos of the P1 on the Nürburgring!
