Faster, louder and cooler, that’s what the Porsche 991 Turbo S is after its treatment by EDO Competition. At least, that’s what EDO is saying. At first sight, they seem to be right. The outside might look outstanding but we do like it. EDO Competition boosted the power of the car to 590 hp. Is this enough with all the powerful cars nowadays?
When the Porsche 997 Turbo S was introduced back in the days, 530 hp and 700 Nm of torque was still a lot. Its successor, the 991 Turbo S already produces 560 hp. That’s a lot, but not that much compared with its competitors like the 650 hp from the McLaren 650S or the 610 hp from the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4. EDO Competition boosted the power to 590 hp. More important is the thing the power does to the car. According to EDO Competition, the boosts makes you sprint to 100 kph in 2.8 seconds and you can keep on accelerating until you reach the top speed of 327 kph. All just a bit faster than the standard Turbo S. Next to that, EDO Competition improved the sound by installing a new exhaust and the interior of the car can be made completely to your wishes.
