The engineers at Aston Martin seem to spare no time. Just as new vehicles are introduced, the next ones are already in the testing phase. Here we see the first test car of a new DBS successor.

Depending on the car brand, the testing phase, presentation, and start of sales vary slightly. Some brands present a design study or a concept car, then spend a few years refining it, and finally unveil the production-ready car. Porsche usually follows this approach, for example. Other brands test in the background, and the shape or format is only revealed on the day of the presentation, but the car is already in its production-ready form. Ferrari often follows this path. With Ferrari, however, you can sometimes see some prototypes disguised in older models on the street, but the final form is still unknown. However, some car brands use a mixed approach. For example, while expensive hypercars may have concept vehicles presented, the slightly "cheaper" vehicles may not. Here in this spot, we see a successor model to the DBS, which may possibly be found under the name Vanquish again. Although this is a well-disguised vehicle, our trained eyes can still discern some good details. For example, we see that the headlights will be the same as those of the DB12. Or at least in exactly the same style. It will also have a monstrously large front grille. Larger than that of the DBS Superleggera.

According to my interpretation, the taillights will be very similar in shape to those of the old Vanquish and in terms of design, they will resemble the lamellalike taillights found on the Vlaour, Valkyrie, and Valhalla. However, this is relatively difficult to say. Somewhat confusing is the red tape holding the trunk in the rear. Because this seems to be the only function that this tape has. Not that you might think this vehicle still has a connected taillight. Another detail that we already know from a new Aston Martin is the usually atypical rear spoiler. The Valour also had something similar. In terms of form, this vehicle is somewhat reminiscent of an old Vanquish when you consider its overall silhouette. On the other hand, the front is more reminiscent of the DBS Superleggera. But let's be surprised; perhaps more test vehicles will follow, from which we can decipher one or two more details...
