This car is actually intended as a tribute to one of the most legendary Abarths of all time, the 1000 Sport Prototipo. When comparing the two, you can indeed find many similarities.
In 2021, this unique vehicle was finally released to the market. It was actually conceived as a one-of-a-kind, so it's no wonder that no one has seen one until now. But finally, the sole specimen emerges, and that too in none other than Maranello.
The Abarth 1000 SP features a 4-cylinder mid-engine from Alfa Romeo with turbocharging and 1742 cc displacement, delivering up to 240 horsepower. Upon closer examination of the vehicle's shape, it becomes apparent that the 4C served as the base. Yet, this gives the vehicle exactly the right character.
