First supercars arrive in Monaco

With only a few days left before the start of the Formula 1 race of Monaco, the first real supercars are entering the Principality of Monaco. A visitor from Sweden decided to take his own race car to Monaco, the McLaren P1 GTR! Before the track is closed for the public, this P1 GTR was able to drive the track, but obviously not at top speed.

For those that are interested in the Formula 1, the first training sessions will start Thursday, not on the usual Friday. The Monaco Grand Prix is the one race of the year that every driver dreams of winning. Like the Indy 500 or Le Mans, it stands alone, almost distinct from the sport from which it was born. A combination of precision driving, technical excellence and sheer bravery is required to win in Monte Carlo, facets which highlight the differences between the great and the good in Formula One. The Armco barrier-lined circuit leaves no margin for error, demanding more concentration that any other Formula One track. Cars run with maximum downforce and brakes are worked hard. Overtaking is next to impossible so qualifying in Monaco is more critical than at any other Grand Prix.

But besides the race we expect to see a lot of spots of extraordinary cars, like this P1 GTR. This car is officially not street legal, but there are some tricks that will allow you to drive this car on the streets of just a few countries. One of those tricks; mount wiper blades on your windshield.
