Finally, Jaguar took off the curtain of their all-new XFR-S, which now is shining on the Los Angeles Autoshow 2012. With their two R-S models, Jaguar wants to be the best in the exclusive segment of high-performance cars, with a top speed of 180 mph. With that, it is Jaguars most powerful, fastest and most sporty sport saloon ever made!
Both the power and torque of the 5.0 liter V8 raised up to 550 bhp and 680 Nm of torque, very respective norms. Due the risen power the XFR-S accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds to go on until it hits 180 mph. To reach this speed it is helped by an eight-speed Quickshift gearbox to provide the XFR-S of a smooth and fast acceleration. Next to that the new ‘Varuna’ wheels are made from wrought alloy. Also optical changes are made to reduce to upward force with 60%. The XFR-S looks much better due that changes. In the interior we can find exclusive materials like normally at a Jaguar, things like leather upholstery with carbon fiber look and contrasting stitching are still present.
