Spotted in Atlanta (GA), United States of America

My first look at the new Portofino. The original Cali had a smooth elegant look, the T was more athletic looking, and this 3rd variation has grown into a very aggressive looking muscular car ready to workout hard, on any road or track. In fact the last shot shows the carbon has been cracked already. A true fast race day fix, lol. I like it! This horse was parked in the valet of the Twin Peaks Restaurant located off of Piedmont last Saturday. Tag read DL1034C

Great spot! Looks like the first one spotted in the U.S. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the direction Ferrari is heading in with its recent designs. This looks exotic, but there are some really weird angles, and I especially don't like how the rear bumper with the exhaust pipes protrudes from the rest of the car.

    Thank you Nick, and Steven.

@NCspotter Hi Nick. I look at Ferrari as an old and favorite music band. Some songs come out and they are instant hits. Others songs it takes a lot of repeat playing to get to appreciate them. In your opinion what was the last car design that you consider as being drop dead gorgeous? A 599 GTO as well as the Aperta version come to mind for me. An Instant hit.

I fully agree, West! Gaffer tape fixes are best fixes. Awesome spot, my friend!

@Horse-Power I think the F12 was the last truly great-looking Ferrari, although I still liked the 599 (especially GTO) a little bit more. I know my opinion is somewhat unpopular, but of all the somewhat recent Ferrari models to hit the streets, my favorite is still the F430.

It is true that like a decent song, Ferrari's new design language grows on me the more I see it. I still prefer the Pininfarina era Ferraris but the 812 and GTC4 and 488 have really grown on me. I've only seen two Portofinos at shows and dealers and it's been that case. Eh, then a little more interesting. Now I think I really like it. More so than the Cali T, which was just awkward in my opinion. It took a design that relied heavily on the 250 GT California LWB and just removed all of that and made it less good looking imho. This is refreshing as a replacement.

Thank you Henry, Thom, and Hill Country Automotive,

@NCspotter Hi Nick, I do agree for your love for the F430. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous in all body styles ( especially in Scuderia body work ) it is truly one of the last Ferrari's that you had to drive with thought. The old f1 gearbox as well as the manual clutch hated city traffic. The longer she was in it the more she hated it. Very temperamental but always rewarding. The new 7 speed dual clutch system has made Ferrari perfect to drive anywhere. I actually went to North Carolina several years ago to drive a Scud on track with XX. I have also done the tracks in Homestead, and AMP with an F1 coupe

@Hill Country Automotive The 250 series of cars will always be the face of Ferrari imho. They looked stunning, and sounded amazing! They won races all around the globe. I know Ferrari has had incredible success with their modern production of models however in my honest opinion the Michael Schumacher era at Ferrari will be the greatest of all time. They were untouchable on the race tracks all around the world in several different types of racing series. My only real disappointment would be that the company should of made the decision to race the Enzo instead of the sister car the Maserati MC12. I understand why they did it, however the face of Maserati to sell cars in America should of been another model. That car won so many championships. My only hope is that the V12 never goes away. Thanks buddy for your comment. I enjoyed reading them.
