Long before Ferrari built the Challenge Stradale based on the 360 Modena they already built another very special model which was a street legal racing model. The F355 Challenge is a hardcore version of the F355 Berlinetta and recently a copy was spotted in the United States!
In fact the F355 Challenge is a F355 Berlinetta which got extra racing materials for a value of 30.000 euros. Remarkably it was possible to install these compenents at your local Ferrari dealership which meant that you didn't need to order a F355 Challenge at the Ferrari factory. The F355 Challenge has a roll cage, enormous spoiler on the back and the brakes of the F40. Next to that, the car also got a racing clutch, racing steering wheel and racing setas to make the car even more extreme.
This Ferrari was all about the driving experience. It produces 375 hp and 363 Nm of torque and that's not that much but in combination with the great suspension and the manual gearbox it was still possible to sprint to 100 kph in 4.7 seconds. That's not the most important about this model because only when you've tested this model for yourself on a track you will know how extreme this F355 Challenge really is!
