The Geneva Motor Show is a show right on the moment when everybody is looking forward to spring and summer. It's the perfect place for Ferrari to show their renewed California, the California T.
The Ferrari California T stands for elegance, sportsmanship, versatility and exclusivity. All characteristics of every California model since the fifties. For those where the F12berlinetta is too powerful, the 458 Italia is too sporty, the new California T is the perfect car.
The exterior is slightly changed compared with the current generation. Even the measurements of the first California are the same. The car is designed in cooperation with the Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina. The new lines have similarities with the current models. The beltlines on the side of the California T are inspired by the famous styling of the 250 Testa Rossa's fenders. The first line ends at the compact and muscular back. A styling feature which makes the sides of the car look very aerodynamic. The back of the car is the result of a big aerodynamic research which resulted in a three-way diffuser.
What engine is hiding in the front? Ferrari used a smaller 3.8 liter V8 equipped with two turbos which produce a power of 560 hp and 75 Nm of torque. The engine has a lot of torque compared with other Ferraris. The car is 15 percent more economic while the power is boosted with an extra 70 hp. This has a positive effect on the performance. The top speed of the car is 316 kph and the sprint from 0 to 100 kph takes 3.6 seconds.
During the Geneva Motor Show, we will see the car in two new colours, Rosso California and Blu California.
