All companies and each person responsible for the development of the TrackSTer just wanted one thing, making the hot hatch a melting hot hatch! The aim of the project was to make the car feel as good on the track as it did on the way towards the track. So, the best of both worlds. They didn’t only add some spoilers and modified the chassis of the car. The car is specially designed for hardcore fans of the Ford Focus ST. That’s why fifteen52 collaberated with Ford Racing and Ken Block again to guarantee progress and a superb final result. The car is very recognizable for its heavily lowered ride and unique mudguards, originating from the Chinese Touring Car Championship Ford Focus.
Then there is the technical part of the story. Mountune did their job to improve the engine, and they did this with building up the engine again. The improvement found place at the pistons, piston rods, the addition of an intercooler and a modified ECU. That’s not everything so far, because further, the Focus ST has a short-shifting gearbox, sport exhaust, Quaife limited-slip differential which is developed for the Focus ST-R, a special clutch which is also specially designed for the ST-R, more powerfull brakes made by StopTech which are, yes, specially made for the Focus ST-R. The result of all this: a lot of driving fun!
