Sorry for the poor pics guys, best I could do given the circumstances. Went on a cruise with some local car enthusiasts about a week and a half ago, and one of my ignition coils failed while we were on US 64 west of Apex. I pulled onto a side road and called a tow truck, and while I was waiting this ZR1 happened to drive past. Barely had a chance to dig my camera out to get pics, but since C7 ZR1s have been very successful at eluding my camera so far, I figured they were decent enough to post on here.

Auto details

Topspeed 341 KM/H
Acceleration 0-100 KM/H 2.85 s
Power 765 hp
Torque 969 Nm @ 4400 RPM
Weight 1615 kg

    Yellow is not common on these. Great find!

    @Jjrivero thanks! It is a rare spec, although strangely it's actually the second one I've seen in yellow so far.

    Hi Nick. I finally had a chance to drive a C7 ZR1 Convertible. I was really impressed with the power and the torque. The automatic gearbox was the only negative issue that I experienced. If she had a dual clutch system, my overall ranking would of been outstanding. Great catch, buddy. @NCspotter

    @PatrickC @Horse-Power thanks guys!

    West - Car and Driver's first impression of the DCT in the C8 was pretty lackluster (they said it was the weakest component of the car), although that was a preproduction model so I'm sure Chevy has done some fine tuning to it. I'm not sure that a DCT from GM would have been hugely better than the eight speed torque converter automatic available in the C7, which from what I remember was fairly well-received. I will always want a true manual in a Corvette, even though I can't shift as fast as a computer.

    @thomcarspotter thanks! It ended up being a failed ignition coil, so after a quick replacement it was back on the road.
