Found this insane-looking Z06 at the Prestonwood Country Club on 7/16/15. It was parked away from everyone and I almost missed it. I believe this one has the seven-speed manual gearbox. I have also seen a blue ZR1 at this country club with the same plate, so apparently the owner used to have a ZR1.

@NCspotter. Just an amazing car! I am so excited on the prospects of a mid engine Vette! Stunning shots Nick.

@Horse-Power thanks West! I have heard that one of the main complaints about the C7 is that it has a hard time putting all its power down due to its current front-engine, RWD layout, so I would think a mid- or rear-engine would help solve that. Still a scary fast car no matter where the engine is.

@NCspotter. Nick the Z06 that I drove had the optional racing tire, and it does not like cooler temps. No grip at all until it gets warmed up. That car was a stick and I was amazed that the computer blips the throttle for you when shifting. Electronics are amazing. I love a mid engine car better so it will be one amazing car to test drive both on a track as well as a road up in the mountains.

@Horse-Power that must have been quite an experience! It will be something to see what Chevy does with the mid-engine layout rumored to be coming to the C8 Corvette.
