Spotter Rivitography
Spotted in Greenwich (CT), United States of America
Date 2020-10-10 07:25

I first found this 2020 Bentley Bentayga parked on Fawcett Place on 2/27/2020 (photos 1-5). I found it again driving on West Elm Street on 8/1/2020 (photos 6-8). I then found it again parked on Greenwich Avenue on 8/28/2020 (photos 9-10). I usually don't like talking about the owners themselves but this is an unusual reaction I got for taking photos. The third time I found it, the owner got out of his car and started taking photos of me with his cell phone. I asked him if there was a problem and he said "Why are you taking photos of my car?" I told him "Well, you see it's a Bentley Bentayga, not everyone has one and I like it". He then asked "Why are you taking photos of my license plate?" to which I replied "Because I like having at least two angles of the cars I find around which is usually a front shot and back shot". I asked him if I was in any trouble and he just replied "no" and walked away. I don't understand people sometimes. You buy a $200,000+ car and then you're dumbfounded when someone appreciates it and wants a photo of it. I have come across this situation way too many times. On another note, the owner used to have a silver Ferrari California which I have spotted and will link in the comments below.

Unfortunately I believe that in very high income areas such as that, especially up north, some folks are just so privileged that they think their lifestyle is normal. "Oh I got a Bentley, a big house and live in a nice town big deal who doesn't?" It's not like most people are middle class or poor and drive cars worth less than 1/10th of that. I mean I'm a little privileged too but I could never understand that perspective. I'm still surprised at how often you run into situations like that and my friend in a similar area encounters the same.

It just boggles my mind. Because down here, Texas does have a lot of money but out of the hundreds, almost a thousand, cars I've shot... only one owner has given me an issue and it was simply "Why are you taking pictures of my car?" in a concerned tone and that was from the owner of a dirty M5. Some business owner who is known for terrible customer service and a 2.5/5 star mattress business anyway. Otherwise, I never have issues and I'm black (not to bring race into the matter, but I'm light-skinned, but still clearly black) and I live in a red state. People are even intrigued by what I do I noticed. And I don't see how it could be any other way. I just could not deal with that kind of attitude up north, I'd probably tell most of these owners where to go and to get a better car.

But anyway, nice spot as always. I hope people stop acting like that though.

    Haha nice,
In Germany there are many car owner i met, who dont want that someone take pics of there cars... but when they are on the street its public area,
so you could take pics..... some of them in germany are maybe criminals or something. If they dont want to take pics, they have to buy a car like vw or so.. :D
