Another Bugatti Spotted in the City of Zurich

Once again, we can spot a Bugatti in Zurich, which is generally not a new occurrence because lately, we've been seeing quite a few Bugattis in Zurich. However, this one was seen in Zurich for the first time.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car Edition is a very popular Veyron, primarily due to its black paint with record orange accents. Its orange wheels are particularly eye-catching.
While we've seen this particular specimen on the Bernina Pass before, it's a premiere in Zurich. Among the plethora of Bugattis driving around, this one manages to stand out. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car Edition is renowned for its impressive top speed. In the World Record Car Edition, it achieved a top speed of 254.04 mph (408.84 km/h), making it the fastest open-top production sports car in the world for a time. This Bugatti is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 engine that generates a staggering 1,200 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm. This immense power allows the Veyron to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car Edition is exceptionally exclusive, with only eight units of this model ever produced, each featuring the same paint and equipment. As the name "Grand Sport" suggests, it is an open-top variant, meaning it has a removable roof that can be manually taken off, allowing occupants to enjoy the open-air driving experience. The "World Record Car Edition" earned its name due to the speed record set by a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. In 2013, a vehicle from this edition achieved a top speed of over 254 mph (408.84 km/h) at the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany, setting a speed record for open-top production cars.
This exclusive Bugatti variant came at a hefty price. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car Edition was priced at two to three million dollars, making it one of the most expensive production cars of its time.
