A new Ferrari Daytona SP3 shows up in Hamburg

The Daytona is the third in Ferrari's legendary Icona series. Other cars in the Icona series include the Monza SP1 and SP2. This eyecatching specimen was spotted in Hamburg, the second largest port city in Europe.

The design of the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a harmonious interplay of contrasts, with sculptural and lavish surfaces alternating with sharper lines that underscore the growing importance of aerodynamics in the design of race cars like the 330 P4, 350 Can-Am, and 512 S. The bold choice of a Targa body with a removable hardtop was inspired by the world of sports prototypes: as a result, the Daytona SP3 not only offers exhilarating driving pleasure but also practical performance.
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is equipped with a V12 naturally aspirated engine mounted in the middle of the rear in typical racing car style. Undoubtedly the most iconic of all Maranello engines, this powerplant delivers 840 horsepower – making it the most powerful engine ever built by Ferrari – along with 697 Nm of torque and a redline of 9500 rpm.

The chassis is made entirely of composite materials and incorporates Formula 1 technologies that haven't been seen in a road car since the LaFerrari, Maranello's last hypercar. The seat is an integral part of the chassis to reduce weight and provide the driver with a driving position similar to that of a competition car.
