A new Chiron Super Sport shows up in London

Amidst the bustling streets of London, a breathtaking device revealed itself. It is a beautiful Chiron Supersport, which has been painted in black, while its interior is adorned in a stunning shade of orange.

Summer in London brings forth many special spots, just like this Supersport. The Supersport is a technical masterpiece. For those who are not only fascinated by the design of the superbolid but also interested in the technology, I have gathered some interesting facts for you...

Bugatti thoroughly revised the 8.0-liter W16 engine for the Chiron Super Sport, increasing its power by 100 PS to 1,176 kW/1,600 PS. At the same time, the vehicle's weight was reduced by another 23 kilograms. The engineers made modifications to the turbochargers, oil pump, cylinder head with valve drive, as well as the transmission and clutch. The engine's speed was raised by 300 to a maximum of 7,100 rpm, which noticeably increased agility. Now, 1,600 Newton-meters of torque are available between 2,000 and 7,000 rpm, compared to the previous limit of 6,000 rpm.
Thanks to the improved performance with larger turbochargers featuring more efficient compressor wheels, the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission shifts from the sixth to the seventh gear at full throttle and maximum speed of 403 km/h. The Chiron Super Sport accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.8 seconds and reaches 300 km/h in 12.1 seconds. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport accelerates seven percent faster from 0 to 400 km/h than a regular Chiron. The seventh gear has a 3.6 percent longer ratio.
To achieve seamless acceleration at full throttle, the boost pressure must remain close to the maximum while the hyper sports car gains momentum and reaches its optimal speed. During gear changes, the pressure briefly drops for only 0.3 seconds, then quickly returns to the full 2.8 bar boost pressure to fill the W16 engine of the Chiron Super Sport.
