Spyshots: BMW tests M2 in Spain

The production of the car won't start before November 2015, the BMW is already testing the baby M. They're testing the car on the Nürburgring as well as in Spain. The testing season on the Nürburgring is slowly coming to its end and the first cars are moving to the south of Europe where the temperatures are better.

We expect that BMW will use a lot of technology from the BMW M3 and M4 and this will improve the handling and feeling of the M2. They will use the M differential which means that the M2 will be a great car for drifting. Next to that, the M2 is being tested with a manual gearbox and an automatic gearbox. The car will be powered by a straight six engine producing 360 hp. This leaves enough room with the M3 and M4 so these models won't compete with each other.
