This car needs no introduction. It's a Rolls-Royce among... Rolls-Royces. A true limousine. Quite recently I've managed to contact the owner of this car. The result? A photo session, a really successful one, because apart from beautiful photos, we learned a lot from each other.
A photoshoot with the king of cars is really stressful. How to make Her Majesty pose? How to show the power and luxury of the car? Luckily, the owner was really patient. As it came out later, he was also a photographer so we had tons of equipment and a lot of experience.
The Rolls appeared to be a good model, it looked perfect from any angle. The weather was good, after a rainy and foggy day. The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is an amazing car. From a long distance you could already notice that it's not an average 70s classic car. Take a closer look, and you will see that the Rolls-Royce is really unique. Starting with a gigantic grille, with the famous Spirit of Ecstasy statue on top, ending on the rear with a silver badge with the name of the model.
.
The interior is pure luxury. Everything is designed with taste and made of the best quality materials. Every moving part works perfectly, ending with a characteristic "click". The electrical windows are silent — and I say it without any exaggeration. When I opened the windows in my Civic the very same day, it sounded like a T34 tank driving by.
Despite its luxurious character the Silver Shadow is not only a limousine. Hidden under the long, beautifully sculpted hood, there is an almost 7 liter V8 engine which can show its claws when needed. The Rolls reminds me of American muscle cars. Soft suspension and an enormous engine. With a little, but meaningful difference. You can place a glass full of water on the engine cover of the Rolls-Royce and be utterly sure that it's not going to spill a single drop.
The car is in mint-perfect, "driven on sundays" condition, despite the fact that the current owner is the fifth and that the Rolls-Royce is sometimes used as a wedding limo. Well, the Rolls-Royce quality is not only a myth.
Quite soon we will be reshooting the car, probably with its Silver Shadow almost-twin brother. You will be able to see the results on my page, as soon as we're done editing.

With a more dynamic design than we're used to, the Rolls-Royce Wraith is a car we have to get used to. But as designers say, all good designs need time to get used to them. We already published a lot of new about the Wraith but we didn't have any driving footage yet. The following movie shows...
Super luxurious and expensive SUVs will be very popular the next few years. Bentley is making one, Lamborghini will probably also make an SUV and even Rolls-Royce is thinking about this market. This all depends on the BMW X7 which will most certainly come. As competitor of the Mercedes-Benz...
Rolls-Royce and BMW were prominently present at this year’s Villa d’Este. Not strange, because the BMW Group, so also Rolls-Royce, is a sponsor of the event. Rolls-Royce came to Italy with two models, they're both not just ‘ordinary’ Rollses.
Who ever thought that the Arabs are the kings of tuning are wrong. In China, a lot of people try to stand out as much as possible by giving their car a special colour. Take the following Rolls-Royce Ghost for example. The car has a chrome gold wrap and it looks like the owner has a bad taste, but...
The following Ferrari F12berlinetta is a scoop for Autogespot. Never before, a copy was spotted in the colour Blue Mirabeau, and that’s quite strange. The deep-blue colour gives the Ferrari F12berlinetta completely different look than yellow or matte grey . This copy was spotted in Zurich and...
Shocking news from the Chinese city Kunming. Here, a driver of a Lamborghini Murciélago crashed into a Hyundai ix35 with two passengers, with a speed of over 200 kph. A rider of an electric scooter was hit by the Hyundai, he died in consequence of the massive hit of the car.
Driving a Ford GT40 in the rain is something you won't like to do. Last week, one of the 107 original copies is crashed in Germany. The driver lost control of the car in a corner and hit some trees, which stand on both sides of the road. The completely bodywork is damaged but that isn't the worst...
The Gumball 3000 circus is driving through Europe at the moment. They drive up to 3000 miles in a week in which they visit thirteen countries. Unfortunately, we aren't present this year but of course we will share some reports with you, just like the Gumball 3000 spots which are uploaded. The...
Nobody would have thought that this soon after the introduction of the Maserati Ghibli, the car would already be spotted in the Netherlands. Everyone seems to agree on one thing, this Ghibli looks way better than it’s bigger brother, the Quattroporte. Niels de Jong captured two beautiful copies...
