New TT-RS will also be available with a manual gearbox

Meanwhile we can say that the manual gearbox is dying. Automatic gearboxes are so quick nowadays that most customers prefer this over a manual gearbox. Still, there are a few car manufacturers that keep on holding on to this manual gearbox, so does Audi.

Audi is one of the last manufacturers you would think of when talking about a manual gearbox. "Truth in engineering" fits better with an S-tronic gearbox than the old-fashioned manual gearbox. Still, Audi still has a select group of customers who are still looking for a manual gearbox. As a car manufacturer you can decide to ignore this small group of customers because of the high development and production costs, but Audi decided to do the opposite.

We're really happy with this decision by Audi. The customer now has a bigger choice when buying an Audi. The TT-RS will be an amazing car with the five-cylinder engine and its manual gearbox. The TT-RS will probably produce the same amount of power as the RS3, 367 hp. We guess that we can tell you more about this TT-RS, live from the Geneva Motor Show.
