McLaren celebrates first anniversary in China

At 19 September 2013, McLaren started selling cars in China. Almost a year later, McLaren celebrates their first anniversary with a special car in China.

Last week McLaren introduced the cheaper and less powerful 625C. That had a special reason. McLaren celebrated their anniversary at four dealerships in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu and they immediately introduced the 625C. CarNewsChina received some photos of a lemon green P1 at the dealership in Shanghai. Next to that, McLaren showed a grey copy.

As far as we know, McLaren sold five copies of the P1 in China. That's relatively low compared with the total number of 375 copies. The more traditional markets have got most of the copies. In the future, some more P1s will probably be imported. In China, a McLaren P1 will cost you over 2 million dollar, much more expensive than in Europe. Bu that's nothing compared with the price of a Koenigsegg or Pagani which will cost you at least 5 million dollar.
