Jaguar F-Type with a bump in Spain

Lucky for us the bump on this Jaguar F-Type isn't a bad thing. This isn't just an ordinary F-Type but we're looking at one of the 250 F-Types that are made by Jaguar Land Rover's SVO department and got the name 'Project 7'.

The bump is a reference to the pronounced headrest of the Jaguar D-Type, a car that managed to win the 24 hours of Le Mans three times back in the fifties. Later on, this headrest of the D-Type transformed into a real fin that had to improve the stability of the car on the long straights in Le Mans. The following movie shows us how later Formula 1 Champion Mike Hawthorn did a testing lap on Le Mans before the race in 1956.

Or, when you like some more action, the following movie shows a group of D-Types racing on the Goodwood Revival.

Meanwhile it's sixty years later and Jaguar now builds the F-Type. As a sports cars for the streets, the Jaguar has everything we can think of. The looks are great, the car produces a lovely sound and the 575 hp of the Project 7 give the car plenty of power. We can imagine less amazing cars to drive on the Costa Dorada.
