Incredibly beautiful Jaguar XJ13 shows up at the Nürburgring

As longs as there are cars, there are prototypes. Not much of these prototypes are able to drive and especially not on the streets. The Jaguar XJ13 is something special, because a beautiful deep green copy was spotted on the roads near the Nürburgring. It must be quite bizarre to spot this car because the photos make us want to see more of this beauty!

We only got some photos of the back of the car and that already looks amazing. The organic lines look amazing around the wheels and they give the car an aerodynamic look. The Jaguar XJ13 is a prototype for racing, especially for Le Mans. As you can see at the design the car comes from the sixties. Back in that time the power was gained from a five liter V12. The engine was placed behind the driver and attached to a manual five speed gearbox. We don't know anything about the performance of this model but it definitely is fast. The body of the car isn't original. During a test in 1971, the car got a flat tire, crashed and rolled over. The wreckage was stored after which it was rebuilt in 1973. A car with such a history is worth a lot of money, although we don't know how much money exactly. In 1996, an offer of 7 million pounds was refused.

How is it possible that this car is spotted on the streets? At first Jaguar has their own testing center near the Nordschleife and that's a safe place to store this car. On the other hand this can also be a replica although it will take a lot of time to build this car. However, this car is definitely a topspot for Autogespot!
