Even 'evergreens' can't escape the test of time and they do need a facelift every now and then to keep up with the challenges of time. This time the evergreen of the evergreens gets a facelift because its time for phase two in the life of the Porsche 911 with code name 991.

The optical adjustments are limited, just like we know from Porsche, although the overall impression of the car is just a bit more fresh. At the front we see other LED daytime running lights and the styles in the bumper are changed. At the back we see new light units with LED technology which reminds us of the taillights of the Macan.

So far most of the world shocking adjustments, but as most of the fanatics will know, there are some shocking adjustments under the hood. To follow the emission restrictions nowadays Porsche equipped the basic engines of the 911 with turbos for the first time in history. In the Carrera as well as the Carrera S we're talking about a three liter boxer engine with two turbos producing 370 hp and 420 hp. These engines are replacing the naturally aspirated 3.4 and 3.8 liter boxer engines. Despite the fact that the new models weigh more than the old ones, the engines are more economic and faster.
