Gumpert Apollo Sport spotted on the highway
One of the cars which can be seen at the Nürburgring is the Gumpert Apollo. As spotter you will be surprised less when you see an Apollo at the entrance of the track. But when you spot one at the highway, that’s quite a ‘wow-moment’, and even more when it is its even rarer and stronger brother, the Apollo Sport. The Apollo Sport is a real maniac. The 4.2 liter V8, the same as in the Audi R8, produces a massive 700 bhp, combine that with just 1200 kilograms of weight, and the results speak for themselves. This makes the Apollo Sport able to hit 62 mph in just three seconds, which makes him one of the fastest cars ever build. On the long straight on the Nordschleife nobody can beat him with his topspeed of an outrageous 223 mph. This of course is one of the last cars you would expect at the highway, pure because this car is build for the track.
