Here it is officially. In addition to the leaked photos we can now officially meet the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible. The roofless model of the Chevrolet is more lightweight than its predecessor and the design is also improved.
The Camaro Convertible is planned to go in production in early 2016. The car lost 91 kilograms of weight thanks to a more lightweight and stiffer chassis and this has to improve the driving dynamics of the car. The electric roof also got an update. The roof can now be opened and closed completely automatic and it can be done while driving up to 50 kph. Engine-wise there's only one interesting engine for us and that's the LT1 6.2 V8 which can be attached to an automatic eight speed gearbox or a manual six speed gearbox.
