Audi R8 Spyder is the next victim for Audi's engineers

The coupé version of the Audi R8 is a closed chapter for Audi's engineers. They won't start the development of this version until they're planning a facelift of special model. For now, it's time for the open version. Last week Audi's engineers were present at the Nürburgring and that resulted in some spyshots of the R8 Spyder.

The engineers won't have that much work to do before the Audi R8 Spyder will be ready for its introduction. The engine and suspension are identical to the coupé version, the only thing that has changed are the bodywork and the roof construction. Next to that, the stability system also needs some minor adjustments for the slightly changed weight ratio. Engine-wise, nothing will change and it will be only a matter of time before Audi will start the production of the R8 Spyder. We expect the production to start in early 2016.
