There wasn't a V8 available for the new Audi R8 and that's something that will be missed by those who want to drive the Audi R8 for a reasonable price. The price of the Audi R8 is near the price of the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 and that makes it only a small step to chose for this model instead of the R8. To make the R8 more attractive and accessible, Audi now confirmed that they will come up with a turbo engine for the R8.
This turbo engine has to make sure that the price of the R8 decreases and becomes more accessible for their customers. They won't tell us too much about the engine yet but we guess that they will use a V6 biturbo which will become availble for multiple models. Think of a power around 500 hp. We're sure that we won't see the V8 return in the Audi R8.
